We are extremely happy to have published our intuitive model for amorphous tellurides materials! It explains structural dynamics, crystallization mechanism, ideal glass, and nanoscale effects in phase-change memory tellurides
Unlocking stealthy secrets of phase change memory technology: Our paper proposes viewing PCM materials as a superposition of cationic and anionic sublattices, each with specific structure dynamics. Turns out, just prior to the crystallization, an amorphous state emerges - nicknamed the 'ideal glass' - which, quite ironically, is partially ordered to about a sixth.
